Yellow Baby Handling

Yellow Baby Handling - Doc, when going home from the hospital, my baby is otherwise yellow with bilirubin 12.8 after 2 days of Bluelight dropped to 11.9. I finally forced to return to consideration of the sun drying treatment and drinking lots of milk. To date approximately 3 weeks of age and I've never check again to see a doctor.

I'm confused about immunizations, how good you? To the pediatrician first, or directly to the clinic for immunization? Please enlightenment.

Answer:
Yellow in the newborn hyperbilirubinemia is often called, is a yellow skin due to increased bilirubin in the blood after birth. Yellow skin itself is a physiological arise when starting on the day 2-3 with a low level. However, when bilirubin reaches above 10, we need serious treatment, especially infants aged under 7 days.

The best therapy is a frequent breastfeeding, and dried in the sun under the hours of 9 am, is a pretty good step. When bilirubin is likely to increase, think about light therapy. Now your son is 3 weeks, so no need to be examined bilirubiun when the skin is not yellow.

Immunization can be anywhere. Can be in community health centers, GP practices or in the doctor's son. When the pediatrician not only do immunizations, ask child development that involves the growth of body weight, height, head circumference and social development, fine motor, gross mototik and language.
